JapShow - 24th to 25th June 2006

We were looking forward to attending the show, and we decided to stay for the two days, as on Saturday was the usual RWYB sessions as well as any last minute practice for competitors in the main show the following day.

After arriving early and getting set up, we were set for the day and getting on the strip. My friend was sporting a sunstrip with the website logo on for a bit of advertising and also I had one of the same too.

After the days action we decided to have a little photoshoot and I set up the photo, would of been nice if we had the place to ourselves, but had to make do with what we could work with.

We settled down and a couple of lads went off in search of a KFC and we settled in for the night in our tents. The following day was hectic and it started early with people arriving for the main event, JapShow. It was a great show and one I remember well, with our good forum friend Ryan Panter and his turbo'd Civic Type R winning the RWYB on the Saturday and then he came runner up in the Pro Class on the Sunday, beaten by a superb run from Guy in the final (pictured at the end). Unfortunately Ryan beat Peter in the Semi so that was an end to his days racing, but he was pleased for Guy in the final.

Also the Norris Designs Evo was a memorable moment, how it lauched off the line wanting to go sideways was memorable, but the winner of the 4WD/RWD was the red Supra running a 10.4 1/4 mile in the final.
