BTCC British Touring Car Championship @ Silverstone - 15th October 2006

We attended the final rounds of the BTCC held at Silverstone, the climax to the season where for the last few rounds, the Honda Integra's were dominating the field.

We were not dissapointed either, race one was won by the Integra of Gareth Howell followed by Colin Turkington in the MG ZS. In race two it was the Integra of Gordon Shedden to take pole, with Gareth heading up the field in 6th place. The final race led to another win for Gareth Howell with Colin Turkington again finishing 2nd.

It was not enough to catch up with Matt Neal who took the championship with 289 points, however it was still a win for the Integra and although Jason Plato had a terrible time at Silverstone, he finished 2nd on 241 points. Gordon Shedden came 4th with 204 points and Gareth Howell ending up in 11th place overall after only entering in the 7th meeting with Team Dynamics 3rd Integra car.

Due to this being the last race it was packed, so getting into positions to take photos proved to be difficult, these were the best of a bad bunch.
